I helped with a lot of the info posted here. Just a few points of clarification:

1. The Ralph Johnson who interviewed Candy Rider Johnson was my father, NOT Candy's husband. The Papa he referred to was his father, Andrew Jackson (Jack) Johnson, son of William Monroe Johnson, son of Richardson Johnson. (I have in my possession the original tapes of this interview.)

2. I have done the DNA test and with the help of others we have proven that Mary Frances Johnson Purvis was Malinda Sorrell's daughter, but not Richardson's daughter. The Purvis descendants' DNA do not match with Richardson's descendants from either the first or second wife.

3. I descend from William Monroe Johnson, but according to the DNA I am not descended from Mrs. Sorrells. I have come to believe that there was probably a fourth woman in the mix! Maybe my ancestor was the mysterious "other woman!"

Ken Johnson
khjohnson1957@yahoo.com
March 5, 2022Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10156587215725403985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114196635814368042.post-51349613412947267622021-12-23T00:05:07.060-06:002021-12-23T00:05:07.060-06:00Great blogg you have hereGreat blogg you have hereBelinda Chttps://www.belindacruz.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114196635814368042.post-84613199396147037872020-12-10T22:04:42.685-06:002020-12-10T22:04:42.685-06:00Ha! Talking about Beverly being a man's name I remember hearing about this man: George Beverly "Bev" Shea (born February 1, 1909) is a Canadian-born American gospel singer and hymn composer. Shea has often been described as "America's beloved Gospel singer"[1] and is considered "the first international singing 'star' of the gospel world," as a consequence of his solos at Billy Graham Crusades and his exposure on radio, records, and television.[2][3] According to the Guinness Book of Records Shea holds the world record for singing in person to the most people ever, with an estimated cumulative live audience of 220 million people.[4] Chris DickeyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114196635814368042.post-61443328717716751122013-04-12T22:52:45.460-05:002013-04-12T22:52:45.460-05:00Hi Robert, thanks for stopping by.
